Apartment Assisi 2

The apartment (approx. 60m²) is set in the beautifully landscaped Porto Letizia park in Porlezza, a 1-minute walk from the beach on Lake Lugano, surrounded by mountains. Sun, beach, nature and delicious Italian food all within easy reach. The apartment sleeps 1–5 people and a cot is available. Ample parking is right outside the door.

As well as its perfect location, the apartment has a lovely balcony with lounge furniture, accessible from the living room through French doors. A small table and chairs are also there for a morning coffee. On the other side, a smaller balcony overlooks the park and mountains. The open kitchen has an oven, microwave, gas hob, fridge with freezer, dishwasher, coffee maker and kettle. The living room features a sofa, dining table and chairs, sideboard with TV and free WiFi.

The Palazzo and reception

The main building, the Palazzo, houses the central reception. Check in here on arrival to collect your key. The friendly staff are happy to help with questions about the apartment, local activities and trips. They can advise on the free use of bicycles, boat hire, walking and mountain bike routes and excursions in the area.

Restaurant Bar Panama

The Palazzo also has an ice cream parlour, wellness & massage and a hairdresser. The restaurant and Bar Panama each have a large terrace on Lake Lugano and are open all day for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Locals love it here, creating a great mix of park guests and Porlezza residents.

Beach, park and surroundings

The grounds also include a public park and a children's playground. Two supermarkets are within walking distance. The sandy beach just 100 metres away has a beach bar and rents out sun loungers, parasols and (water) bikes. Boat hire is also available on site.

The nature around Porlezza is beautiful — perfect for hiking and cycling (e-MTBs available for hire in the village). Porlezza itself is a quiet, authentic Italian village with a promenade, small shops and restaurants, about 80 km north of Milan. Golf courses nearby in Menaggio, Lanzo di Intelvi, Lugano and Como. Winter sports at St. Moritz (CH) and Madesimo (IT). With the Alps behind you and the lake in front — pure Italian bliss.
